2017 VIKING SUMMER BAND CAMP
46th Annual Viking Band Camp
June 12-16

NOTICE: NO LATE REGISTRATION FEES!
As a courtesy to you, we are extending the early registration fee ($150) from June 5 all the way up to the first day of camp

The Del Mar College Department of Music invites you to participate in the 2017 VIKING SUMMER BAND CAMP. The VSBC centers on the comprehensive
music education and artistic development of all students. We will provide opportunities for all students with at the very least one year's experience on their instrument to collaborate for five days of focused musicmaking while making new friends and enjoying summertime activities. The VSBC will conclude with a series of chamber concerts and a full concert band performance for family and friends to enjoy free of charge!

2017 VIKING SUMMER BAND CAMP ITINERARY
9:00 A.M. TO 4:30 P.M. June 12-16, 2017

Early/Late Student Pick Up and Drop Off Arrangements
If needed, we can arrange for you to drop your student off at an earlier time that is convenient for you and we can arranged supervision if you
need to pick up your student at a later time. Please let us know what we can do to help you out.

VIKING BAND CAMP AUDITIONS
All band camp participants will complete a simple audition for chair/part placement. This is not an audition to get into the camp. ALL students with at least one year of experience on their instrument will be welcomed at the camp. Auditions will be held on the morning of the first day of camp in the Del Mar College music building. Students will audition on music of their choosing. Please select an etude that best shows off your skills. Limit your selection to no more than 3 minutes of
music. You will also be asked to play major scales up to 2 flats and 2 sharps.
