Del Mar College Foundation transforms students' lives and the area economy by leveraging community resources to provide each individual an equal opportunity for an education and to assist the College and its students in attainment of their educational goals.

A MILLION THANKS FOR MEETING THE CHALLENGE!

Local businessman and philanthropist Mr. Eugene “Gene” Bouligny publicly extended a challenge to our local community in December 2010, pledging to give $1 million dollars in support of student scholarships through the Del Mar College Foundation. There was one catch. Mr. Bouligny’s gift would only be realized if other supporters in the community met his match by September 30, 2011 for a total of $2 million.

The Del Mar College Foundation is pleased to announce that our generous community stepped up to meet the challenge and donated $1.6 million dollars to secure the $1 million match from Mr. Bouligny, generating $2.6 million to be used to help students achieve their dreams by furthering their education.
